An 'LVT' is a 'Licensed Veterinary Technician' .
The Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners licenses and regulates veterinary technicians. For licensure a veterinary technician applicant must present satisfactory proof to the Board that he/she is at least 18 years old; has obtained at least a passing score on the VTNE and the LVTE and is a graduate of a Veterinary Technician Program.
